University College

Continuing Education Units (CEU)

One of the functions of the Professional Development division of MTSU’s University College is to facilitate the awarding and tracking of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CEUs provide recognition of ongoing learning that is necessary to stay abreast of the changes that regularly occur in the professional world.

Qualification
Providers of educational programs often ask if MTSU’s University College can provide CEUs for the participants of their programs. To be considered please submit to Eve Shockley at eve.shockley@mtsu.edu the following documentation for consideration. Please note that not every program is approved for CEUs.

  • a resume and/or curriculum vitae for each presenter demonstrating the education and/or experiential background that would qualify them to teach the material or course content.
  • a copy of the curriculum to be taught including outline, PowerPoint presentation, handouts, lectures, notes, or other materials that reflect the course content.

Fees
There are a couple of different fee structures and a variety of services available regarding CEU issuance. Please contact Eve Shockley with details about your program.

Reporting
If the course is accepted for issuance of CEUs, you will be asked to provide an electronic attendance form documenting the audience who participates in the program. The list must include the following information:

  1. First Name
  2. Last Name
  3. Company
  4. Address
  5. City
  6. State
  7. Zip
  8. Phone Number
  9. Email Address

You may download a template which can be used to report the attendance.
