How M.P.S. works
The 30-credit-hour program combines a shared foundation with focused study in your chosen concentration:
- 12 credit hours of core requirements
- 15 credit hours in your concentration
- 3 credit hours for a culminating professional project
You’ll develop your project in cooperation with the program director, typically around a topic related to your professional work.

Lightning Track for MTSU Seniors
The M.P.S. program participates in Lightning Track, an invitation-only pathway for eligible MTSU seniors planning to begin graduate study after completing their bachelor’s degree. Eligible participants can bypass the standard application fee and entrance exams.
